This image of my parents encapsulates a moment in my family’s lives that was genuinely happy. My mom, dad, sister, and I were at my older cousin’s wedding. I was 4 years old and my sister was 8. We were probably off playing with other kids who attended the wedding, while they got their photo taken. This photo is one of the few photos of my mom and my dad together, without other family members, that our family found recently. In 2007 my parents had only been married 8 years at that point. Their marriage only lasted 22 years due to my dad’s passing in 2021, but it’s nice to look at memories they had together like this and recreate moments in time.
