At Last, 2024, silkscreen print on printmaking paper, 28 × 33 inches

At Last, is a sister project to my “Unknown: Family Portrait Series.” This piece allowed me to discover more beautiful pictures that infiltrate my mother’s family photo albums. One of the main themes within a lot of the photos in the albums were wedding photos. It is truly a special and sacred thing to have so many photos of Black weddings in the 20th century that are apart of my family’s history and lineage.
